Job summary

The University of Nottingham Day Nursery at University Park invites applications for an Early Years Practitioner. You will be part of a nurturing team delivering child-centred, play-based learning that supports every child’s development.

Based on a beautiful campus, you’ll work 39 hours per week, mainly weekdays, with a focus on safeguarding, inclusivity and collaborative practice, and you’ll be eligible for generous university benefits.

Qualifications

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised by the DfE.
• Demonstrates passion for delivering outstanding care and learning for young children.
• Builds positive, professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with children and their families.
• Plan and deliver play-based learning activities that support development.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive indoor and outdoor environment.
• Observe, assess and monitor children’s progress and keep records accurate.
• Promote health, wellbeing and safeguarding following policies.
