Job summary

Bright Horizons Portswood Day Nursery and Pre School is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our Portswood setting. You will plan, create and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each child, fostering development towards milestones in a nurturing, home-from-home environment.

We pride ourselves on strong teamwork, safeguarding, and the EYFS framework, with opportunities for professional development and a 50% childcare discount for the first child.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers.

Responsibilities

• As an Early Years Practitioner, plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
• You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

Job description

Nursery – Bright Horizons Portswood Day Nursery and Pre School

Salary Level 3 – £28,072.60 - £33,020.50 per annum, pro rata for part time (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Salary Level 2 – £27,009.60 - £27,823.80 per annum, pro rata for part time (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Hours – Part time lunch cover 11am to 3pm Monday to Friday, or full time 4 or 5 days per week
