Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to create a warm, caring and inclusive environment.
• Strong understanding of child development (0–5 years).
• Knowledge of Ofsted welfare requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to updating records of achievements (profiles, observations, care plans) to support individual needs.
• Assist the management team to develop, implement and evaluate play and planning using the EYFS.
• Support nursery team and management in delivery of service and development of quality care as a key carer.
• Assist in settling-in programmes to meet each child’s/family’s needs including first contact with parents or carers.
• Assist nursery team when communicating routines and procedures with new parents.
• Observe, collate, present and record developmental milestones for children’s profiles.
• Ensure families receive daily positive feedback.
• Report concerns or family issues to the appropriate manager.
