Job summary

A local childcare service in Middlewood is recruiting for Early Year Practitioners to plan and deliver activities that support children's development. Ideal candidates should have experience in a nursery and hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years. The role offers flexibility with both long and short-term contracts available.

Qualifications

• Hold Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or Teaching Assistance.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for Early Year Practitioners, Childcare Assistants and Teaching Assistants to work at Nurseries and Schools in your area.

We have long and short-term contracts as well as shiftwork available.

Overview

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework (or relevant curriculum) to track and assess children's progress.
• Encourage language and communication skills through storytelling, singing, and interactive play.
• Foster creativity and problem‑solving through play‑based learning.

Qualifications

Experience of working in a nursery, Childcare or either Level 2 or 3 Early Years, Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification.

Hourly rate: up to £17.00
