Job summary

The Early Years Alliance in Bradford invites applications for an enthusiastic Early Years Lead to join our friendly team. You will deliver high-quality play and learn sessions and creche provision, supporting children's learning and development in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will build strong relationships with parents and families, encourage engagement in home learning, and ensure safeguarding and health and safety policies are followed at all times.

Qualifications

  • Childcare qualification Level 3 or above with good EYFS understanding.
  • Experience delivering children and family sessions.
  • Ability to meet EYFS welfare requirements.
  • Encourages home learning and parental involvement.
  • Team player with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver EYFS-focused play and learn sessions and creche.
  • Support children's learning, development and wellbeing in a safe, inclusive environment.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers and families.
  • Encourage family engagement in children's learning through activities.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and policies are followed.

In this rewarding role, you will support children's learning and development through the delivery of high-quality play and learn sessions and creche provision. You will play a key role in creating a stimulating and nurturing environment where children can thrive, while helping families build confidence in supporting their children's early learning.

Main duties
  • Lead and deliver high-quality EYFS focused play and learn sessions and creche provision.
  • Support children's learning, development and well being in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers and families.
  • Encourage family engagement in children's learning through creative and meaningful activities.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and organisation policies are followed at all times.
Essential criteria
  • Childcare qualification at Level 3 or above with a good understanding of EYFS and child development
  • Experience of delivering children and family sessions
  • Ability to deliver to the EYFS welfare requirements
  • An understanding of the value and importance of home learning and the ability to encourage parental involvement
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative

This is a fixed term post until 31st march 2028 Hours per week: 18 Weeks per year: 39 Virtual interview date: 23rd September 2026 Please note our virtual interviews take place via Microsoft Teams, you may need to download this prior to your interview.
