Job summary

NEAT Academy Trust's Tyneside Early Years Practice Hub is seeking an Early Years Learning Lead (Language) to drive high-quality, evidence-informed practice across Gateshead, Newcastle and North Tyneside. This secondment offers opportunities to empower educators, coach settings, and build strong local networks.

You will work with PSED and Early Maths Leads to deliver CPD, support local authorities and English Hubs, and develop delivery plans with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of early language learning and ability to communicate clearly to educators and settings.
• Completed professional development in EYPDP early language module.
• Completed professional development in EYCDT early language module.
• Experience with children aged 0–4 in early childhood education.
• Experience working with a range of childcare provider types (PVIs, childminders, school settings).
• Experience mentoring others or coaching, with ability to build professional relationships.
• Experience creating and implementing delivery plans with local authorities across multiple areas.
• Understands evidence-informed practice and how to identify approaches, training and resources.
• Understands safeguarding within EYFS framework.
• Able to deliver content with rigour while remaining responsive to educators’ needs.
