Job summary

Banana Moon Day Nursery in Hamilton is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join a friendly team on a full-time basis. You will work in a nurturing environment where children explore, play, and learn through imaginative activities.

The role requires a Level 3 childcare qualification, Enhanced DBS, and passion for early years education. Benefits include discounted childcare, staff events, meals during shifts, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant early years qualification to a minimum of Level 3 or higher as defined by the Department for Education.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure within the child workforce sector registered on the update service.
• Paediatric 12-hour First Aid certificate.
• Relevant safeguarding training and qualifications.
• Previous nursery/early years experience.
• Experience as a key person in a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
• Excellent communication with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality, balanced provision of leading practice education and care in a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment.
• Follow Banana Moon policies and procedures, meeting legislative requirements and delivering an educational curriculum that achieves the highest possible inspection grading.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and the wider team.
• Deliver learning experiences that are engaging, age-appropriate, and child-led
• Act as a named key person or coordinator in a specific area, as designated by the Nursery Manager.
• Support the nursery in maintaining an excellent reputation and high standards.
