Job summary

Family Adventures Group in Penarth, Wales, is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to provide high-quality care and EYFS-based learning for children aged 0–5. You will work with the room team under the Nursery Manager to support development and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a starting rate of £13 per hour. A Level 3 in Childcare and strong safeguarding values are required, with commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (or equivalent) is essential.
• Desirable: experience in nursery or early years setting.
• Desirable: First Aid and safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care, learning and play experiences that support children’s development and wellbeing.
• Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children feel secure, valued and supported.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
• Observe, assess and support children’s learning and development, guiding next steps.
• Prepare learning environments, resources and activities to support daily routines and planned experiences.
