Job summary

A childcare organization in Hodge Hill is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Apprentice to support children's education and development. In this role, you will provide a nurturing environment, plan activities for children aged 9 months to 5 years, and communicate with parents about their child's progress. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced staff while completing your Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification.

Apprenticeship Details

Apprenticeship Details - 19 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship. (All learning is delivered online/ remote). Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider)

As a key part of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the education and development of your key children through quality of teaching and learning. As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:

Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
  • Plan and implement age‑appropriate activities to stimulate children’s development
  • Monitor and observe children to ensure their well‑being and safety
  • Collaborate with other nursery staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s daily activities and progress

We are currently seeking to recruit a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our team who is also passionate about early years. As an Early Years Apprentice, you will focus on high quality affordable childcare from 9 months – 5 years of age. Enthusiastic about making a difference.

About Little Scallywags

Here at Little Scallywags – we are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice looking to complete their level 3 early years educator apprenticeship to join our small & friendly team at our Hodge Hill setting. Little Scallywags Day Nurseries consists of seven settings around the Birmingham and Staffordshire area. The nurseries are a family run business and benefit from the skills and experience of a strong management team, including nursing, qualified teacher status and family support.
