The Role

This full‑time position offers the opportunity to support children at a crucial stage in their development, with a particular focus on language and communication skills. You will play a key role in nurturing a love of learning, building strong relationships, and helping pupils grow in confidence and independence.

  • Supporting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the Reception classroom
  • Delivering small‑group and one‑to‑one support, particularly in speech, language, and communication development
  • Assisting with phonics sessions and early literacy development
  • Helping to create a warm, stimulating and safe learning environment
  • Monitoring and recording pupils' progress and feeding back to the teaching team
