The Role:

You will be responsible for maintaining an overview of matters relating to the administration and processing of Special Educational Needs (SEN) Inclusion Funding; undertaking the administration of the Early Years Census; communications with settings; facilitation of training events and briefings; administration in relation to Early Years team meetings; ensuring the Early Years portal and Family Information Directory is up to date.

You will in many cases be a first point of contact for parents/carers, Head Teachers/ setting managers/directors, departmental staff and other service users in relation to these areas of work. This will involve coordinating the delivery of specific tasks and ensuring compliance with service expectations and completion of tasks within set timescales.

Responsibilities You Will Hold:
  • Develop and maintain administrative systems to provide effective and efficient business support to the Early Years team/service.
  • To coordinate and implement the application of appropriate business support processes in relation to SEN Inclusion Funding.
  • To implement the collation of data/information required for the Early Years census, liaising with partners as required, completing the census within deadlines.
  • To contribute to meeting service expectations relating to timescales for each part of Early Years support in accordance with service standards.
  • To collate required information for communications to early years providers, for example the Early Years Bulletin.
  • Facilitate events such as Leaders and Managers meetings and SENDCo briefings.

  • Early Years process and procedures will be implemented in compliance with service expectations and applicable legislation.
  • Communication with all stakeholders is of a high professional quality.
  • Proactive coordination in order to secure timely and accurate delivery of statutory tasks (SENIF and EY Census).
  • The provision of effective, accurate and responsive business support for all aspects of the statutory and non-statutory work of Early Years Service
