Job summary

Bright Horizons Southborough Springfield Road Nursery in Tunbridge Wells is hiring flexible Bright Flex/Bank practitioners to care for babies and children up to 5 years old. You’ll join a friendly team, supporting development through interactive play and activities while benefiting from the organisation’s culture and safeguarding commitments.

You do not need prior childcare experience, but a passion for making learning fun and flexible, with good communication skills, will help you thrive in

Salary – Starting from £13.26 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Bright Horizons Southborough Springfield Road nursery. We are a small 40 place nursery that caters for children aged 3 months to 3 years. We are the only childcare provision in Southborough that offers care for this age group. Our staff team are really friendly and put the children first. There are good public transport links to Southborough and the bus stop is just opposite the nursery.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures through interactive play, reading, and activities to encourage curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
