Job summary

Kindred Nurseries is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join our nursery team. You will support children's learning through play, daily routines and activities in a warm, home-from-home setting.

You will build relationships with children, families and colleagues while promoting safeguarding and health and safety. We value a positive, caring and enthusiastic approach, with good organisational skills and a willingness to learn within an Early Years environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates are desirable.

Job description

As an Early Years Assistant, you'll work alongside our experienced nursery team, supporting children through play, learning and everyday routines while developing your own skills within a caring and supportive environment. You will:

• Support the nursery team to provide a warm, welcoming and home-from-home environment for every child.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn through play.
• Assist in delivering engaging activities that encourage children's curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Support children's daily routines, helping them feel happy, safe and secure.
• Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming nursery environment.
• Observe and celebrate children's achievements, supporting their learning and development.
• Follow Kindred's policies and procedures, promoting safeguarding, health and safety at all times.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions and nursery events.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding care and education.

• Previous experience working with children.
