Bright Horizons Barnes nursery is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join our Baby Room in Barnes, London. This full-time role (40 hours, Monday to Friday) offers a warm, caring environment where children learn through play, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and development.

You do not need prior nursery experience, but a passion for supporting young children, good communication with colleagues and parents, and reliable teamwork are valued.

Nursery –Barnes Day Nursery

Salary – £29,432.00 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Hours: Full time, 40 hours, Monday - Friday

Location – Barnes, London with great transport links, near Hammersmith and Roehampton

We’re looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Barnes nursery in our baby room due to a increase in demand.

Our nursery has 4 tailored base rooms for children – two of these for the under 2's. The nursery has a large outdoor area with individual areas for each age group. Additionally there is an Art studio, Children Kitchen and library area.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
