Job summary

Over The Rainbow Day Care is inviting applications for an early years apprentice at our new nursery in Newton Heath, Manchester. The role focuses on caring for children, preparing engaging environments and supporting development through play.

The successful candidate will be supported through a recognised Level 2 qualification in Childcare, with progression to Level 3. The Growth Company provides full training and ongoing support for the apprenticeship journey.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade A-C / 9-4 are required.
• Creative, caring approach to supporting children’s learning.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow guidance.

Responsibilities

• Caring for children and supporting their play and development.
• Preparing and maintaining environments to meet children's needs.
• Planning activities and supporting learning through play.
• Adhering to safeguarding and health and safety practices.
• Preparing snacks and assisting with feeding and cleaning.
• Working as part of a team and building relationships with families.
• Supporting a key person for a group of children.
