Job summary

Realise Training in Wickford is offering an Early Years Apprentice Educator role. You’ll learn on the job while working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, gaining hands-on experience with children aged 0–5.

You don’t need prior experience—just enthusiasm to grow. The apprenticeship runs 14 months with on-the-job training, supported by your employer and Realise, plus entry to long-term career progression in early years.

Qualifications

• No experience needed—willingness to grow and give it your all.
• Must be 16+ and not already qualified above Level 3 in childcare.
• Maths and English at Level 1 desirable.

• Learning on the job while gaining your Level 3 qualification in Early Years
• Supporting your team to create magical moments for children aged 0–5
• Playing, laughing, storytelling, building, baking, exploring—and learning every day!
• Building bonds with children and being part of their development journey
• Planning and carrying out child initiated and adult led play activities supporting children’s individual needs and interests
• Providing play activities which encourage and promote children’s numeracy, literacy and language development
• Undertaking the role of the key person to help children feel safe, secure and valued
• Taking part in training, team meetings, and development workshops
• Keeping children safe, loved and supported—always

Working Week

Monday to Friday - shifts to be agreed at offer stage. 30 hours per week

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
