The school is searching for an engaging and committed Early Years teaching Assistant.

About the Nursery :
  • Caters to children aged 2-4, with separate playrooms for ages 2-3 and 3-4
  • Features a quiet room for story and nap time, and a kitchen area with a snack bar
  • Large, secure garden with grassy and decked areas, a mud kitchen, and vegetable plots
  • Operates a ‘free-flow’ outdoor system to encourage year-round play

Responsibilities :
  • Be a caring Key Person, offering personalised attention and support to each child in your care
  • Observe and celebrate each child’s unique growth, thoughtfully planning activities that meet their individual needs
  • Lead fun and engaging activities both indoors and outdoors, from circle time and storytelling to sports and cooking
  • Design activities that spark joy and curiosity, tailored to each child’s developmental stage and interests
  • Lend a helping hand wherever needed, supporting your team and wider school team with flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Contribute to a warm, collaborative environment that adapts to meet the needs of the school community
  • Uphold all school policies, with a focus on health, safety, and child protection to ensure a secure environment for all
Requirements :
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years education
  • Proven experience working with young children in an early years setting
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Knowledge and training in safeguarding and child protection (or willingness to complete necessary training)
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one
  • Please note: a full registration with anzuk may be required for this role, we will also accept applications from educators who are not qualified.
