Job summary

Berry Recruitment is seeking 2 Street Cleansing Operatives for Rushmoor, GU15, on an ongoing temporary basis. The role involves carrying out street cleansing duties to keep public areas clean and safe in line with contract requirements and specifications. Working hours are 06:30-15:00 with a 30-minute unpaid break.

Applicants should be reliable, punctual and able to work outdoors in varying weather. A clean driving licence is essential for those duties.

Qualifications

• Previous street cleansing or outdoor environmental work is desirable.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Willingness to undertake further training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily street cleansing duties, including manual sweeping, scraping and weeding.
• Complete programmed and responsive cleansing tasks as required.
• Operate machinery and equipment after training.
• Follow contract requirements and service specifications.
• Report progress and issues to the Line Manager.
• Inspect machinery and vehicles before and after use.
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of equipment.
• Provide courteous and professional service to the public.
