Job summary

TJ Morris Limited, trading as Home Bargains, is hiring Store Team Members in Ebbw Vale to maintain cleaning, hygiene and store standards while supporting shop operations. The role combines cleaning duties with general Store Team Member tasks such as serving customers, stock replenishment and till duties.

The position is part time, 20 hours per week, with early shifts from 5am and can involve working up to 9am.

Qualifications

• Be aged 18 or over, in line with the company's health and safety requirements for the cleaning duties and operation of machinery associated with this role, including the Hako floor scrubbing machine.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment, including the Hako floor scrubbing machine, following the appropriate training and health and safety procedures.
• Clean and sanitise staff areas, toilets, bathrooms and communal spaces, maintaining high standards of hygiene.
• Sweep, mop, dust and clean shop floors, shelving, displays and other areas as required.
• Identify and respond promptly to spills, hazards and cleanliness concerns to maintain a safe environment.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used and stored safely.
• Complete additional cleaning duties as required to maintain excellent store standards.
• Welcome customers and assist with queries, providing friendly and helpful customer service.
• Support with replenishing stock, working deliveries and maintaining product displays.
• Assist with till operations and other shop floor activities when required.
• Work alongside colleagues to ensure the store runs smoothly, particularly during busy periods.
• Undertake the full range of Store Team Member duties as reasonably required to support the operational needs of the store.
