Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic Early Learning Support Worker to assist nursery officers in delivering high-quality early learning and childcare. You will support lunchtimes, work with individuals and groups of children, and help organise playrooms to create a safe, stimulating environment.

You must undertake the required SSSC qualification (NC in Childhood Practice SCQF level 6 or SVQ Social Services, Children and Young People SCQF level 6) or equivalent, and demonstrate

Early Learning Support Worker

Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning Support Worker.

You will be part of a team assisting nursery officers in the delivery of early learning and childcare including supporting lunchtimes, working with individual/groups of children and the organisation of playrooms.

It is essential that you demonstrate a commitment and ability to undertake the required qualification in early learning and childcare in line with SSSC requirements: NC in childhood practice at SCQF level 6 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 6 as stipulated in SSSC; or equivalent.

Experience of children and young people, Ability to communicate orally with children and adults, Caring nature, responsive and an awareness of the needs of young children is also essential.

If not already registered with SSSC, you will be required to do so as Support Worker of Day Care of Children Service within the designated timeline.
