Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Clinical Associate Psychologist to join the At Risk Mental State (ARMS) Service, helping to implement psychosis prevention and early intervention strategies for young people and adults aged 14–35.

You will deliver psychologically informed interventions and assessments, including CAARMS, under supervision, and work with families to develop personalised care plans, contributing to MDT decisions and service improvement.

Qualifications

• First degree in Psychology and registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the BPS (Masters level 120 credits).
• Understand British Psychological Society (BPS) Professional Code of Conduct and related policies.
• Knowledge of behavioural change models and health behaviour theories.

Responsibilities

• Undertake specialist assessments (e.g., CAARMS).
• Deliver low-intensity CBT and family interventions under supervision.
• Develop personalised care plans with service users, carers and families.
• Contribute psychological perspectives to MDT discussions and decision-making.
• Collaborate with EIP, CAMHS, Talking Therapies and community teams.
• Support service evaluation, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
