Job summary

The Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Early Intervention Physical Health Lead for a 12‑month fixed term/secondment. The role focuses on developing and implementing a physical health strategy aligned with the National Audit of Psychosis, working with EI MDT to embed standards and manage clinical risk.

Qualifications

• RGN registered with NMC or equivalent
• Phlebotomy and ECG trained
• RMN with mental health experience

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate physical health assessments and follow‑up actions
• Build on relationships with GPs to support integrated care
• Promote physical health awareness alongside mental health and wellbeing
• Plan and implement evidence‑based care for first episode psychosis
• Work within the EI MDT providing professional guidance and support
