Job summary

Action for Children Northern Ireland is seeking a Family Support Practitioner in Omagh. This part-time role (30 hours per week) is offered on a 1-year fixed term contract with a pro rata salary of £27,000–£30,000 depending on experience.

You will work as part of a team to support vulnerable children and their families across Omagh and the wider area, delivering flexible, outcome-focused supports, assessments, and evidence-based group work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Early Years or Youth Work is required.
• Experience delivering support to children and families in their own home.
• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible, outcomes-focused supports to children, young people and families.
• Undertake individual needs assessments and develop tailored, outcomes-focused support plans.
• Deliver interventions including individual direct support and evidence-based group work programmes.
• Promote the Service and its activities to partner agencies and organisations.
