Vale of Glamorgan Council seeks an Early Help Advice Line Advisor on a temporary/fixed-term basis based in Barry. You will provide telephone-based advice and guidance to families and carers in line with Families First guidance. You will be part of a team that supports individuals to resolve concerns or refer to other services as needed.
Working hours are 37 per week, Monday to Friday, at Barry Community Enterprise Centre. DBS check is enhanced and required for adults and children.

The team offer a personal service aimed at listening to the needs of each family. By working with parents / carers / professionals the team support individuals to resolve their concerns independently or identify other services that can offer support.

To provide advice and guidance to families/carers, initially by telephone, in line with the Families First guidance, relevant national standards and local and national legislation and guidance.
About you
You will need:
Experience of working in an appropriate statutory/voluntary setting with children/young people and families.
5 GCSEs grades C and above or equivalent.
High level of personal motivation and ability to motivate others.
