Job summary

The Y WA Bunbury ELC is seeking casual Early Childhood Educators (Assistants) to help inspire and nurture young children in a vibrant community setting. You will support room leaders, help implement developmentally appropriate activities, and contribute to a caring, safe learning environment close to home.

Be part of a WA-based non-profit focused on safeguarding children, with mentoring, flexible shifts, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Understanding of the National Education and Care Services Regulations 2012, the EYLF and the NQF.
• May obtain First Aid and police checks when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering quality early childhood education and care programs.
• Support room leaders in implementing developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain developmental records and communicate with families about progress.

What you’ll be doing:

If you live local, you might know our Bunbury Learning Centre inGlen Iris, nestled close to the beach? At the start of your day,you’ll walk pass our award-winning nature escape including a veggiepatch, catch up with your fabulous colleagues (& your favouritelittle ones), thriving with play and learning. You’ll beencouraging them to grow socially, emotionally while instilling alove for learning. Your Room Leader will work with you to developindividualised programs while maintaining developmental records andkeeping parents informed. Then at the end of your shift, you’llwalk out the door (smiling again) knowing the children arecontinuing to develop in body, mind, and spirit.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

• Have infectious enthusiasm and passion in early yearseducation and care
• Have an ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early ChildhoodEducation or equivalent
• Understanding of the National Education and Care ServicesRegulations 2012, the EYLF and the NQF
• Can reflect on your previous experience implementingprograms in an Early Learning Centre (or similar)
• Have prior experience working in Early ChildhoodEducation
• Can obtain a HLTAID012 First Aid Certificate, NationalPolice Clearance and Working with Children check
