Early Careers Talent Acquisition Business Partner

Ready to take your early careers recruitment experience to the next level? Join Aon’s UK Early Careers Talent Acquisition team and help shape the future of our business by attracting and hiring top talent into our Graduate, Internship, Placement, and Apprenticeship programmes.

You’ll work across all Solution Lines, partnering with senior stakeholders and delivering end-to-end recruitment—from innovative attraction campaigns to seamless candidate experiences. You’ll also play a key role in driving diversity and using data and tech to improve outcomes.

This is a hybrid role based in our London office; you will need to be in‑person 2‑3 days a week, either in the office or supporting events or assessment centres elsewhere in the UK.

What the day will look like
  • Managing relationships with business sponsors, hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand their Early Careers hiring needs.
  • Support the delivery of the marketing and attraction strategy including managing supplier relationships, job board advertising, and Aon’s attendance at university and school careers events supported by other EC team members as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring wide coverage and promotion of all EC vacancies through Aon’s careers site and refreshing visibility on social media, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Manage support from hiring managers and graduates attending university, college and school career, insight events & work experience programme.
  • Attend attraction events representing Aon and our Early Careers programmes.
  • Providing regular updates to hiring managers and business sponsors on candidate sourcing, screening and selection for their programmes.
  • Manage the business involvement with candidate selection including hiring managers to assess candidates as assessment centres and final interviews.
  • Support EC team members in organising all aspects of the assessment centres and final interviews, identifying the best candidates to invite and coordinating hiring manager availability.
  • Facilitate assessment centres, ensuring the smooth running of the events, positive candidate and assessor experience, and reinforcing best practice for interviews and selection with hiring managers (assessors).
  • Support with assessment centre and interview follow up with candidates and the business, including offering and rejecting candidates, initiating offer process, background checks and other onboarding activities via HR Global Operations, and with candidate follow‑up to ensure successful conclusion.
  • Working alongside other members of the EC to team to ensure the businesses engagement in the candidate keep‑in‑touch and onboarding process to ensure a high‑level of candidate engagement and to minimise the number of candidates withdrawing from the programmes.
  • Work as part of the EC team to support Aon’s diversity and inclusion strategy within attraction and selection, including events and activities to attract and recruit candidates who would not have previously considered Aon.
  • Support EC team with planning and managing Aon’s insight events, work experience and other Aon careers events.
  • Support other EC team members with delivery of recruitment and development activities at peak times.

We recruit around 200‑250 new colleagues into Apprentice, Summer Internship, Industrial Placement and Graduate roles annually, who join offices across the UK.

As an Early Careers Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will work alongside three other Business Partners and the UK Early Careers Talent Acquisition Manager, and in partnership with the Early Careers Development Programme Team, the TA Support and Administration Team.

The team has responsibility for attracting, selecting and on‑boarding top talent from across UK schools, colleges and universities, and then developing them in partnership with the Talent Development team during their first 12‑18 months at Aon.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Experience in Early Careers recruitment, ideally in the professional/financial services or consulting industry.
  • A genuine interest in all aspects of Early Careers attraction, sourcing, engaging, screening and selecting.
  • A passion for building business relationships and motivated by shared success – across the EC and wider HR team.
  • Good (internal) client facing skills & experience, with the confidence to manage high client expectations.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, including MS Teams & SharePoint.
  • Good Excel/data management knowledge or experience.
  • Familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs).
  • Good overall technical competency, including the use of AI.
  • Excellent time management and comfortable managing a diverse workload with the ability to re‑prioritise.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with candidates, hiring managers and colleagues.
  • Problem‑solving skills with a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude to ensure all client and candidate needs are met.
  • Good Project Management experience to ensure all tasks and actions are documented and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative to resolve queries in a timely and satisfactory way.
  • Knowledge of social media and social sharing.
