EQ is part of the Sumer Group, one of the UK’s fastest-growing accountancy practices. We invite applications for our Early Careers Internship Programme in Kelso, a 4-week fixed-term role designed to start your career in accounting or business services.

You will join a supportive team, engage in real-world accounting tasks, and receive abundant mentorship to prepare you for Chartered Accountant pathways. The programme is aimed at 3rd-year students planning graduate training.

Qualifications

• You must be in your 3rd year of university and considering a Graduate programme after graduation.
• Strong A-Level or equivalent academic history, including English at grade C and Maths at grade B (Nat5 or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking people who are enthusiastic, willing to learn and develop their understanding of a career in Accountancy. Through hands on experience in real-world accounting and financial practices, networking opportunities and an abundance of mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, our Interns feel equipped for the world of work and excited to join us on this career path.

About You

If you are in your 3rd year of studies at university and considering a Graduate program once you graduate and are looking to start training towards becoming a Chartered Accountant, we want to hear from you!

To apply, you’ll need a strong A-Level or equivalent academic history, including a minimum of a Grade C in English and B in Maths at National 5 level (or equivalent).

The Process

• Deadline for completing online tests: 27th October
• Assessment Centre: The assessment centre for this role will be held on 25th November at our Kelso office.
