About The Role

Position: Festival Safety Steward


Schedule: Various shift patterns available through the summer


Hourly Rate: £12.21 - £13.68* (*inclusive of holiday pay)


Contract Type: Fixed-term ending 30/09/2025

Join #TeamFGH this summer, ensuring safety at iconic events and festivals such as Glastonbury, Beat-Herder, Kendall Calling, Boardmasters, Gottwood, and many others.


You need to be over 18 to apply for this role.


Main Duties:
  1. Monitoring access points and patrolling the site perimeter.
  2. Ingress control including ticket validation, accreditation checks, guest guidance, and handling queries.
  3. Crowd management: directing foot traffic, maintaining order, reporting anti-social behaviour, and ensuring crowd safety plans are followed.
  4. Providing approachable customer service and support.
  5. Monitoring and reporting suspicious behaviour and taking appropriate action.
  6. Egress control.
  7. Reporting and recording details of irregularities, incidents, searches, and patrols.
About You:

The ideal candidate will need to:

  • Have a passion for Keeping People Safe.
  • Understand security risks and threats at events and festivals.
  • Be friendly with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possess strong communication skills.
  • Enjoy training and continuous learning.
  • Be comfortable camping and able to provide necessary camping equipment.
  • Be available to work over 24 hours per week during festivals, which is the minimum hours for the shortest festival in our calendar.

Note: Camping is a requirement for this role as the team stays on-site during festivals. If you prefer not to camp, please explore other vacancies.

You will undergo security screening according to BS7858:2019 and a DBS check. Additionally, you will need to obtain an L2 Spectator Safety certificate, which FGH will provide free of charge.
