We are actively recruiting a Sales Director with experience of working in the aviation sector to join a leading manufacturer of ground handling support equipment in Lancashire. The ideal candidate will have an extensive network within the airline, MRO and airport markets, preferably with an understanding of ground support / handling products.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the UK sales function, reporting to the Group MD.
  • Formulate and implement the sales strategy.
  • Generate your own sales through leveraging contacts through your prior network and being commercially active in your market.
  • You will be the driving force behind lead generation and manage the full sales lifecycle.
  • You will be a great communicator; internally you’ll have regular contact with the MD, operations and HR; externally having regular communications with prospects and customers.
  • Have a hands on mentality and be a decisive decision making.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified, preferably in a technical or business field
  • At least 7 years of experience in a similar sales position
  • Work experience in the international business arena
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the aviation industry
  • An inspiring and natural sales individual
  • Strongly developed analytical skills, eye for the market and able to translate this into operational management
