The Role:
The role will contribute to the successful delivery of the National Park Authority’s statutory planning function in relation to our work to deliver an efficient and outcome focused Development Management Service. This is an exciting time to join our team. We are looking for someone who can handle a diverse range of planning applications as well as contribute to enhancing our support processes and innovative delivery of the service.
The National Park continues to see a significant level of development interest across a wide and varied planning application workload – from a gold mine to affordable housing development, run of river hydro schemes and hotel and tourism development – there is a lot going on.
The successful candidate will handle a range of our more complex planning applications to deliver timeous planning decisions which will contribute to wider National Park outcomes.
Our emerging Local Development Plan will be key for the delivery of our new National Park Partnership Plan. It will include policies and priorities that will guide all future development decisions and our work to influence land use and investment that realises our Vision for the National Park to be a thriving place that is nature positive and carbon negative.
