It’s an exciting time to join the Digital team here at AXA Health, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform and deliver new digital services to our customers; and to streamline and automate our business processes. We’re looking for an experienced Lead Test Engineer to join our Engineering team, to help with the delivery of our digital roadmap, develop our people and capabilities, and support our Engineering strategy to drive improvements across all teams.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a product-led operating model. In this model, all our teams align with value streams, which means that we have the necessary resources to take an idea from conception to completion with minimal handoffs. Our current focus is on developing our Single Digital Platform, which is based on Salesforce and involves a significant .NET estate, use of Azure services, and React frontend web applications.

As a Lead Salesforce Test Engineer, you will learn about recent technology trends and be able to influence the organisation to make the right choices. What you’ll be doing:

1. Act as a line manager supervising and guiding a team of test engineers, sharing best practices in manual test execution and exploratory testing in complex end-to-end environments on our Salesforce Platform.
2. Oversee testing activities within a team responsible for frequent code deployments and delivery of business value to production environments.
3. Be ‘Hands on’ in testing, uplift existing capabilities, with a focus on test automation.
4. Lead the technical design, implementation, and maintenance of test automation projects within a CI/CD environment.

What you’ll bring:

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce testing, including leadership roles such as Test Engineer Lead or Senior SDET.
• Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and SDLC.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools to design and implement automation suites.
• Experience with Provar or Copado Robotics Testing (CRT) is advantageous.
• Experience with load testing and ability to analyze and report results.
• Extensive manual testing experience, with a focus on effective manual testing methods alongside automation.
• Proven ability to implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
