What's the role about?

As an Assistant Designer within our Womenswear Design team here at Reiss, you'll contribute to the development of seasonal collections across categories including Outerwear, Leather, Tailoring, Denim, and Trousers. From initial concept to final product, you'll support the creative process through trend research, CAD creation, and collaboration with key teams across fabric, product development, and technical design. This is a great opportunity for a creative and driven individual to grow within a dynamic fashion environment, helping shape designs that reflect and elevate the Reiss aesthetic.

Who you are

  • An experienced fashion designer with a background in Womenswear and Menswear.
  • Highly creative with a strong sense of style, trend awareness, and market relevance.
  • Proficient in sketching and CAD, with solid visual communication skills.
  • Confident in researching and translating seasonal concepts into innovative ideas.
  • Self-motivated and well-organized, with a team-first mindset.
  • Clear communicator with strong attention to detail across design and process.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the end-to-end design process, from seasonal concept research to product realisation.
  • Create and update colour palettes, trend boards, and mood directions in line with brand identity.
  • Collaborate with the fabric team to source and research appropriate materials.
  • Prepare sketches, CADs, and visual packs for internal reviews and presentations.
  • Assist in creating detailed spec packs and technical design documentation.
  • Work closely with the technical team to meet prototype expectations and timelines.
  • Coordinate with product development to ensure seamless style placement with factories.
  • Adhere to seasonal calendars and critical paths to ensure timely delivery of collections.
