Supply Chain Launch Logistics Supervisor

Main purpose of the job:

  1. Supervises the daily activities of the supply chain launch team across the end-to-end supply chain elements of new product introduction.
  2. Facilitating demand planning, material planning and production planning in the execution of new product development and launch, working closely with engineering and program launch teams.
  3. Ensuring team maintains alignment to the latest engineering configuration for production and customer material requirements.
  4. Ensuring that inventory is phased in accordance with customer launch and ramp up requirements and minimizing the impact of excess inventory through effective material phasing and burn off existing programs where required and in line with corporate objectives for cost and delivery performance.

Key areas of operations include forecasting, demand analysis, production planning and scheduling, inventory planning and control, supply scheduling and capacity management.

Main missions and results:

  1. Plans, organizes, and conducts activities within its area in an effective manner towards achieving common objectives of IAC (name of plant) as well as the IAC Group.
  2. Reports deviations from the standard and takes corrective actions.
  3. Take action to ensure team achieves relevant operational KPIs.
  4. Supervises team activities relating to conversion of demand plans, build plans into realistic and achievable material supply schedules and ensures is in alignment with launch build rates and ramp ups.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience working as a supervisor in a high volume, manufacturing, supply chain environment with specific evidence of New Product and New Program Introductions
  • University degree or professional body qualification in a supply chain or logistics management
  • Analytic thinking, detail oriented and hands-on approach
  • Good knowledge of problem-solving tools and techniques
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal at all levels in English
  • Good presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages (Excel, Work, Powerpoint etc)
  • Self-driven, with an enthusiastic approach and “positive attitude”
