Key Responsibilities

The role will be varied, but you will be expected to;

  • Independently manage and lead the relationship for a portfolio of existing Triple Point borrowers. Customer base is likely to include Wholesale and Structured Finance borrowers within the SME market.
  • Assess and lead the end-to-end delivery of increases and new money transactions from within the portfolio and proactively monitor them.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure strong relationship between Triple Point and its customers.
  • Careful monitoring of underlying performance of portfolio with early warning of any deteriorating credit or new lending opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationship with internal colleagues to support onboarding of new customers with origination team and handover of deteriorating credits to restructuring team.
  • Lead Annual Review process from end-to-end as required (from initiating the conversations with the customer through to approval).
  • Lead presentations to Credit Forum or Investment Committee for all matters relating to businesses within the portfolio.
  • Lead and negotiate documentation for all modifications, including new money transactions.
  • Review MI and update senior stakeholders with key summaries as required.
  • Ensuring all internal portfolio monitoring and reporting is kept up to date.
  • Undertake line management responsibility and career development responsibility for direct reports including Associate Directors and Portfolio Managers within the team.

Knowledge & Experience

It is anticipated that you will have the following;

  • Demonstrable track record of loan portfolio management including leading new lending transactions
  • Experience in the Wholesale and/or Structured Finance SME Lending market is preferable but also SME Cashflow Lending
  • Transactions will vary in size and complexity, but expectation that the relationships will be with Triple Point largest and more complex customers.
  • Experience of loan documentation negotiation and execution;
  • Current knowledge of the commercial lending market, including pricing, competitors, products;
  • Strong financial modeling and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Educated to degree level, ideally supported by a professional qualification in accountancy, banking or risk management
