Are you ready to develop new generalist skills and build on your experience? Can your nursing skills contribute to our vision of excellence in remote and rural healthcare?

NHS Orkney aims to be a leader in remote healthcare and seeks an Island Community Nurse to support our team on Westray, providing relief cover.

Stronsay, with approximately 350 residents, is part of the Orcades Practice serving about 1,943 patients across six island practices, providing 24/7 healthcare. Weekly team meetings facilitate knowledge sharing and peer support.

The post holder will be part of a small team delivering community healthcare, responsible for clinical and professional leadership of a Band 5 Community Nurse, and capable of working independently without hospital resources. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and quality monitoring of community healthcare across all ages, including emergency cover with 24 hours on call when on duty.
