We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Adult Community Psychology Team in South West Essex. Newly qualified applicants are welcome and may start at Band 7 with preceptorship to Band 8a.
Grade/Salary: Band 8a (Band 7 preceptorship for new graduates).
Location: South West Essex (Basildon, Brentwood, Thurrock)
Hours: 37.5 per week
The role involves providing specialist psychological input to local community mental health teams, including the First Response Team and Recovery and Wellbeing Team, assessing clients with complex mental health issues, and providing supervision and training to colleagues.
Provide assessments, formulations, and interventions for clients with severe mental health difficulties, work autonomously within professional guidelines, and offer consultation to colleagues. The role offers opportunities for developing specialisms, CPD, and leadership training.
