An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Merchandising team in our London office.

The Head of Merchandising leads and inspires the Merchandising and Allocations team to deliver timely product ranges for Women's, Men's and Handbags that meets our customer and brand expectation which will maximise sales and profit and increase lifetime value.

About the Role

  • Lead and drive the weekly 'Trading Meetings' and 'Seasonal Review Meetings' to provide insights on opportunities & risks with the outcome of actions to ensure that we achieve our sales, margin and stock budgets.
  • Accountable for stock management through WSSIs ensuring we have the right level of stock & availability at the right time to maximise sales.
  • Accountable for optimising stores levels of stock and availability to ensure each store or channel has the right product & size at the right time.
  • Lead the monthly re-forecasting sessions to understand our performance and where we can maximise sales & profit.
  • Accountable for managing the sale & clearance stock through the prime channels and/or outlets.
  • Constantly look to improve the processes, reporting and systems' to improve efficiency within the team.
  • Accountable for delivering the merchandising critical path milestones and tasks to ensure the season is launched on time.
  • Inspire and guide the team to deliver personal and business results, and to reach the heights of their capabilities and more.
  • Lead by example and ensure that the team live each day by our company values.
  • Work with the Heads of Buying to define the product strategy for future seasons that aligns with the overall direction of the company.
  • Deliver a merchandise plan for each season that provides the commercial framework to deliver future range(s) that meets our customers expectation.
  • Lead a comprehensive lessons learnt to include competitor research, market & internal insights that collaborates with other parts of the company that will inform the development of future ranges and processes.
  • Plan the product intake to maximise sales, profit and cost efficiencies.
  • Responsible for a markdown and liquidation strategy that protects the brand and minimises markdown spend and terminal stock.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Buying to improve our supplier relationships, capabilities, scalability and sourcing opportunities to meet the needs of our business.

About You

  • Proven experience in a management position within fashion or footwear Merchandising
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for product.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, consumer behaviour and competitive landscape.
