REQUIRES SC CLEARANCE & 1-2 DAYS ONSITE IN GLOUCESTER
Responsibilities
  • The Dynatrace Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions that provide comprehensive insights into application and infrastructure performance across cloud environments. With a strong focus on Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, the role emphasizes automation, scalability, and reusability over manual configuration. The engineer will leverage Dynatrace’s full technology stack—including Real User Monitoring (RUM), Full-Stack Monitoring, Synthetic Monitoring, and Log Management—to enable end-to-end visibility and proactive performance management.
  • This role requires a solid understanding of AWS and Azure services to support effective integration and monitoring. The engineer will work closely with cross‑functional teams, translating business unit needs into scalable observability solutions. Strong communication skills, a collaborative and self‑service‑oriented mindset, and the ability to quickly adapt in a fast‑paced, agile environment are essential to success.
Qualifications
  • Robust background in both software development and observability tools is mandatory.
  • In‑depth understanding of cloud technology.
  • Expertise in Terraform and GitHub.
  • Experience in Python and TypeScript.
  • API and automation experience—integrating with REST APIs, building automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.), and embedding configuration into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript (and JavaScript where needed) to develop automation tooling, scripts, or platform extensions that integrate cleanly with engineering workflows.
