Octagon Group in Woore, Cheshire is seeking a proactive Stores Assistant to join a busy warehouse team. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods safely and efficiently, helping to keep the warehouse tidy and adhering to health and safety procedures.

The role suits someone with a can-do attitude, reliable and able to work well in a team, with good communication skills and a flexible approach to duties. Previous warehouse experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or stores experience is desirable.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanning devices would also be advantageous.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliability and a can-do attitude are important.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack and store goods safely and securely.
• Pick, pack and prepare products for dispatch.
• Ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
• Distribute materials and components to manufacturing and production areas.
• Keep warehouse and work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Follow company Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Work flexibly and support the wider team as required.
• Undertake other duties associated with the job when necessary.
• Identify training opportunities to support your career development.
