Qualifications

• Hold QTS status and actively work towards your induction
• Teach across a range of subjects and year groups
• Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive environment
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons for all student ability ranges
• Motivate pupils with engaging, imaginative presentation
• Maintain discipline in the classroom
• Meet requirements for assessment and recording of pupils’ development
• Coordinate activities within a curriculum area to support colleagues
• Stay up to date with changes in the curriculum structure
• Attend school events and flexible activities, including evenings or weekends
• Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly in smaller schools

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set work across lessons and ensure pupils stay on task
• Cover planned lessons across multiple subjects as required
• Support colleagues with learning resources and classroom management
• Adapt teaching approaches to different schools and pupil needs
