Job summary

TLTP Education is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher for a secondary school in Luton, starting immediately and lasting until July 2027.

You will teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3 and KS4, support GCSE preparation and foster a positive, inquiry-led classroom culture that motivates learners to achieve.

Your role includes planning engaging lessons, differentiating to meet needs, assessing progress, and collaborating with the Science department to maintain high standards of teaching.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or QTLS and be able to teach Science to KS3 and KS4.
• Experience delivering GCSE science preparation and assessments is preferred.
• Ability to engage students and develop practical scientific understanding.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics in line with the school curriculum
• Preparing KS4 students for GCSE Science examinations
• Making scientific concepts accessible and engaging for students of different abilities
• Encouraging scientific enquiry, practical investigation and critical thinking
• Assessing students' progress and providing constructive feedback
• Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and high expectations
• Adapting lessons to support different learning needs
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department
