Shelley College, A Share Academy in West Yorkshire, invites applications for a Cover Supervisor to join our school team. You will supervise classes in the short term absence of teachers, delivering pre‑planned activities and keeping learners engaged in meaningful work.

Working with teachers and support staff, you will help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment, promote excellent behaviour, support wellbeing and safeguarding, and contribute to the wider life of the college.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and young people in an educational setting.
• Ability to supervise whole classes and deliver pre-planned learning activities.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsabilités

• Provide short-term classroom supervision during the absence of the class teacher.
• Deliver pre-planned learning activities to whole classes.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a constructive learning environment.
• Support students with SEN and/or EAL as required.
• Assist with examinations and wider school activities.
• Attend training sessions and department meetings as required.
