Job summary

Long-Term Teachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated Supply Primary Teacher for full-time temporary placements in Newquay, Cornwall. You will deliver engaging lessons across primary year groups, maintain a positive learning environment and support continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.

Applicants should have QTS, previous primary teaching experience, strong classroom management and excellent communication skills, with a flexible and patient approach to working across different

Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in a primary school setting.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required for qualified teacher assignments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A flexible, patient and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Confidence adapting to different classroom environments and year groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Follow lesson plans and learning objectives provided by the school where available.
• Maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom management.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities and learning requirements.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Monitor pupils' understanding and provide appropriate feedback.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and school leadership.
• Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Demonstrate flexibility, initiative and professionalism when working across different settings.
