Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a dynamic PE Teacher for a one-year fixed-term role at a sports-focused academy in Basildon. You will teach Physical Education to pupils aged 11–18, delivering a blend of practical and theoretical lessons and supporting examination groups.

The successful candidate will coach a range of activities, contribute to fixtures and extracurricular clubs, and foster fitness, teamwork and student confidence in a vibrant school environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified PE teacher with ability to deliver practical and theoretical lessons.
• Experience coaching sport and leading extracurricular activities.
• Strong classroom management and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Teach PE to pupils aged 11–18 (KS3–KS5).
• Support examination groups and assess progress.
