Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Occupational Therapist for rotational posts across ward, community and rehab settings. You will manage a defined caseload, perform assessments, set goals and develop treatment plans within the OT pathway, with supervision from senior clinicians as required.

You should hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy, be HCPC registered, and be prepared to work across various clinical environments, including on-call shifts. A car is advantageous.

Qualifications

• You will hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered.
• Demonstrate ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide patient centred care across diverse settings with evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments and set patient-centred goals with treatment plans.
• Manage a varied caseload across hospital, home, and community settings.
• Communicate clinical reasoning and justify treatment choices.
• Educate patients and carers in condition management.
• Assess capacity and obtain informed consent.
• Collaborate with senior clinicians and MDT to coordinate plans.
