Job summary

TimePlan Education Group Ltd is seeking a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to start January 2027 in Camden, North London. The role covers KS3-KS4 and offers a full-time contract for the remainder of the academic year.

The successful candidate will teach French, Spanish or other MFL subjects, plan engaging lessons, and support students to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while promoting cultural awareness.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in at least one modern foreign language.
• Experience teaching MFL across KS3 and KS4.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and differentiated lessons.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to develop students' confidence in communicating in another language.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills when working with students, colleagues and parents.
• A commitment to supporting students' academic achievement and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Developing students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
• Teaching grammar, vocabulary and language structures to support students' progress.
• Encouraging students to communicate confidently in their chosen language.
• Promoting cultural awareness and an appreciation of different countries and traditions.
• Assessing student progress and adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs.
• Preparing students for assessments and GCSE examinations where appropriate.
• Maintaining high standards of classroom and behaviour management.
• Creating an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and independent learning.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to raise attainment and share effective teaching practice.
