Job summary

St Mary Redcliffe And Temple CE VA School in Bristol is seeking a full-time Maths teacher for maternity cover, starting early January 2027 (date to be confirmed). The contract runs for up to 52 weeks or until the post holder returns, whichever comes first.

The successful candidate will teach Maths to KS3 and KS4 as a minimum, with KS5 teaching an asset. The Maths department is active, with strong extra-curricular involvement and a history of students continuing to top universities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to teach Maths to KS3 and KS4.
• Ability to teach Maths to KS5 would be an advantage.
• A passion for maths teaching and helping all abilities to learn and progress.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to KS3 and KS4 students with a view to progress to KS5 where possible.
• Contribute to the department’s extracurricular maths activities and sixth form support.
