Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting an IT Lecturer for a full-time role in South Essex, offering pay up to £38 per hour with immediate start. Based in SS14 1GP, the position supports learners with digital skills and progression into IT careers.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging IT teaching across IT-related programmes, plan learning schemes, assess learners and provide feedback, while maintaining high standards and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or lecturing in IT or computing subjects.
• Strong technical knowledge across IT and computing topics.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain where required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across IT-related courses.
• Prepare schemes of learning, lesson plans and resources in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements.
• Teach topics such as computer systems, networking, software applications, programming and digital technologies.
• Use digital resources to meet learners' needs and encourage participation.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Monitor attendance, progress and performance, maintaining accurate learner records.
• Support learners with their personal development and progression into further study or employment within the IT sector.
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment and keep up to date with IT developments.
