Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic History Teacher for an Outstanding School in Merton to join the Humanities Department. You will teach across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE, and guide students to think critically about the past while developing confident written analysis.

The role requires a History degree with QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification and experience teaching History at secondary level.

Qualifications

• Degree in History or a related subject.
• QTS or recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching History at secondary level.
• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 including GCSE.
• Strong knowledge of historical topics and GCSE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teach History across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE.
• Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt lessons to meet student needs.
• Encourage students to consider different perspectives and support conclusions with evidence.
• Collaborate with Humanities Department to develop resources and review student performance.
