Job summary

Justteachers is recruiting a Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in the Bradford area. This full-time, fixed-term role runs from September to December 2026, offering an opportunity to contribute to a well-established humanities department.

You will deliver engaging Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5, assess progress, and differentiate for varied learners. Strong classroom management and safeguarding are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent required.
• Degree in Geography or a related subject.
• Recent experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Two school-based references.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Teach KS3 with potential KS5 depending on experience.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and attainment.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse needs.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and strong classroom management.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and departmental meetings.
